Origin
The project's name plays on the Spanish word "cuentacuentos" (storyteller), in the most positive sense: a tale that entertains and delights its listeners, interwoven with Eduardo Eguren's obsession with each individual "piece" of vineyard.
Telling the vines' story and conveying, in each wine, the unique essence of each carefully chosen plot.
It is not about "making" wine, but about "growing" it.
Fifth generation
Eduardo Eguren belongs to the fifth generation of the Eguren family, a well-known name in the wine world that has built its
know-how over the decades through highly regarded projects: Sierra Cantabria, Viñedos de Páganos, Teso la Monja, and more.
A lover of wine as a way of life, he spent his childhood among the vines with his grandfather Guillermo and his summers among the barrels with his father, Marcos. Growing up immersed in winegrowing and winemaking sparked his dream of creating something of his own, shaped by his ideas and the knowledge he gained around the world.
After his maternal grandfather, Félix Ramírez, died, three vineyard jewels came into his hands, prompting him to strike out alone and champion a small, exclusive project where he could pour everything he had seen and learned from great masters and across many wine regions.
