Philosophy
Viñedos Sierra Cantabria was born of the family's constant drive to excel, in its quest to draw out the virtues of its collection of vineyards in unique wines.
Viñedos Sierra Cantabria marks the emancipation of Sierra Cantabria's new creations. It is a collection of wines closely tied to the land: wines designed around the characteristics of selected vineyards, using specific winemaking techniques to highlight their distinctive traits.
This philosophy naturally means that the company's name refers to the vineyard rather than the winery.
With the aim of making great wines from privileged vineyards, they began working with dedication on the La Llana, Los Terreros, Jararte, El Bosque and La Veguilla estates, which gave rise to benchmark wines such as Sierra Cantabria Cuvée, Sierra Cantabria Organza, Sierra Cantabria Colección Privada, Finca El Bosque and Amancio.
These wines are the fruit of careful, artisan winemaking, with the most meticulous bunch selection, often destemmed by hand and foot-trodden in the traditional way for the gentlest extraction.
