Land with 24 centuries of history behind it, worked and cared for by three generations of winemakers with family values at their core and a commitment to an illustrious land that produces prestigious wines. That, in a nutshell, is Maison Guigal. From the outset, the motto "No Pains No Gains" has underpinned the promise made to Étienne Guigal: a commitment to work together, follow in his footsteps, share the family's passion and create so many emotions. Today Marcel and Philippe, with their wives, are the guardians of this exceptional estate, which combines history, devotion and a sense of togetherness: a source of inspiration for generations to come.
The Guigal estate
Ampuis lies south of Lyon, in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. Here, on the rugged, steep land shaped by the Rhône and terraced since ancient times, the Guigal family works the greatest appellations of the Rhône Valley with passion and perseverance.
Today the estate is made up of many exceptional vineyards: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage... exceptional plots producing prestigious wines that show the excellence of this estate.
