The Meín estate appears in Galicia's history books as one of the earliest settlements, born in the shadow of the Monastery of San Clodio, so closely tied to the origins of winegrowing in the Ribeiro area in the 11th and 12th centuries. In other words, Ribeiro wine was born right there, at Viña Meín and San Clodio.
In the heart of the Avia Valley, on barely a hectare and a half of a truly singular vineyard laid out in socalcos (terraces), grow Emilio Rojo's vines.
An ancestral vineyard steeped in a history linked to the Monastery of San Clodio. The origin of a wine shaped by the character of its surroundings and, above all, by that of its producer: the colleiteiro (grower-winemaker) Emilio Rojo.
