Its essence

The essence of Bodegas Prieto Pariente lies in the practice of winegrowing and winemaking and in expressing the terroir of Castilla y León through unique wines.
The winery was born of the enthusiasm of siblings Martina and Ignacio Prieto Pariente (of the Pariente winemaking family) to launch a wine project with a very personal style. Their goal has always been to create singular wines with a distinctive character and a profile of freshness and complexity.
For two years they searched for old, singular vines, from the province of Valladolid along the river Duero to the mineral slopes of the Sierra de Gredos, in some cases rescuing century-old vineyards that were about to be grubbed up.
The style was clear from the start: "Wines that express the uniqueness of each soil and each climate through delicate winemaking." They firmly believe in sustainable viticulture and in respect for roots.

Innovation

A firm commitment to R&D&I allows them to keep searching for new winemaking methods and better winegrowing practices. The ultimate goal is to make wines of the highest quality with the utmost respect for the environment.
In pursuit of unique and exceptional wines, they have embarked on the MACEWINE research project. Led by Martina Prieto Pariente, backed by the CDTI and ERDF funds and in collaboration with VITEC, it seeks the best maceration techniques for Tempranillo and Garnacha.

Sustainable viticulture

Their winemaking philosophy rests on several pillars, above all a firm commitment to the environment. They champion sustainable, chemical-free viticulture that respects its surroundings.
