Facing Peñafiel Castle, on the gentle slopes of the Carraovejas Valley that run down to the Botijas stream, lies a place where growing grapes becomes thrilling. Set on a hillside perpendicular to the Duero and parallel to the Duratón, the land is gently rolling: flat in the centre of the valley, steeper and more rugged as it climbs to 900 metres above sea level.
An unbeatable setting, a landscape steeped in history, a vineyard tended with exhaustive care, meticulous winemaking and well-judged ageing round off wines with a distinctive identity.
