Domaine Laurent Perrachon et Fils
We are the fifth (Martine and Laurent) and sixth (Maxime and Adrien) generations of Perrachons at the Bottière estate, which the family has owned since 1877. The earliest traces of the family in the wine trade date from 1601.
Welcome to the Perrachon estate. We carry on our ancestors' work, making wine the traditional way. The history of Juliénas already mentioned the name "Perrachon" in 1601. The Perrachon family acquired the Domaine de la Bottière in Juliénas in 1877. Then came the Domaine des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins, at the foot of the Moulin-à-Vent hills. The Domaine des Mouilles, now the heart of our operations, was acquired in 1989. It lies at the heart of the Juliénas appellation, with the best exposure and the best soils. More recently we added smaller plots in Chénas, Fleurie and Saint-Amour.
Today we harvest grapes in six appellations: Juliénas, of course, but also Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie, Chénas and our latest addition, Saint-Amour. This makes us the independent Beaujolais winemaker with the most complete line-up of crus.
We have many projects to pursue our mission, built around two main lines.
Restructuring the estate
Within 15 years, we want to eliminate all chemical products and work all our soils mechanically. Passionate about our terroirs, we want our crus and grands crus to be recognised (for example, Les Chers or Les Mouilles in Juliénas). This commitment is reflected in our new single-plot cuvées.
