Dominio de Pingus is a very small winery 30 kilometres from Roa, in the province of Burgos. It makes the most sought-after wines in Spain, and possibly in the world.
Its tiny production makes it one of Spain's rarest and most exclusive wines. Peter Sisseck is Pingus: an agricultural engineer and winemaker born in Copenhagen in 1962, settled in Spain since 1990, who has since made his wines some of the most highly rated anywhere.
Dominio de Pingus is an artisan winery, with a few rows of new barrels, a basic press, some wooden vats and steel tanks. But this handcrafted approach and low production allow the team to lavish care on the quality of the final product.
