Cota 45 is the project of renowned Sanlúcar de Barrameda winemaker Ramiro Ibáñez. It sits in an old boatyard at Bajo de Guía, a magical beach at the mouth of the Guadalquivir, opposite the Doñana nature reserve. Ramiro Ibáñez makes his wines from recovered native varieties, experimenting with the different chalky albariza soils.

His commitment to making manzanilla the old way, unfortified and with short ageing, has led him to leave the Denomination of Origin. These wines speak of the land, the site, and the vineyard's climate, without having to follow pre-established rules.
