Wine with the soul of a forest

Once upon a time… in a nameless place in the Ribera del Duero highlands, one of the world's best regions for making quality wine.
In 1960, the owners of a woodland known simply as El Bosque ("The Forest") decided to turn its deepest part over to cereal crops.
What happened next is history. To make room for the cereal, the former owners removed millions of kilos of firewood from that ill-fated forest.

Local villagers brought their mules and donkeys to help with the huge firewood harvest.
The strain killed hundreds of donkeys, but it gave our forest its life and its name: El Bosque de Matasnos, "the forest that killed donkeys". An enigmatic, unique, hypnotic and beautiful place. A different place, but one without a soul. Or with hundreds of souls? Today, we invite you to listen to the forest they call Matasnos and discover Bosque de Matasnos and its wines.
