The Eguren family's emblematic winery, devoted exclusively to the red San Vicente, after its old walls had housed other wines of the house at different times. Building the Páganos winery freed it from those tasks, and it is now the group's social centre and also the home of Guillermo Eguren. The firm's founding principle is fully met: one vineyard, one variety, one winery, one wine.
The limestone walls, the wooden structure, the preserved old vats and presses and even the decoration of the reception room give the whole a classic air, which is belied as soon as you see the gleaming new oak barrels lined up in the underground cellar. And above all when you taste the wine: an innovative, even rebellious red that broke new ground and is now a true classic at the forefront of Rioja.
