The Pagos del Rey project was created to have a presence in Spain's most renowned Denominations of Origin, with distinctive wines of their own personality. The company has wineries in Ribera del Duero, Rioja, Rueda and Toro, all of modern design, combining tradition and modernity, and equipped with the latest winemaking technology.
Bodega Pagos del Rey in Ribera del Duero
It is in Olmedillo de Roa (Burgos), in the very heart of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin.
It mainly produces red wines: young, oak-aged, crianza, reserva and gran reserva. The brands that have brought the winery most recognition among consumers are Altos de Tamarón and Condado de Oriza, with more than 100 awards and medals from prestigious international competitions.
Bodega Pagos del Rey in Rueda
Opened in 2005, the Rueda winery is a handsome Mudéjar-style brick building with
high-tech facilities. It makes the house star, Blume, the market-leading D.O. Rueda brand in Spanish supermarkets. The area's queen variety and undisputed hallmark is Verdejo.
Bodega Pagos del Rey in Rioja
It stands in Rioja Alta, near the river Ebro, in the municipality of Fuenmayor. This privileged location allows a thorough selection of Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Viura grapes.
Bodega Pagos del Rey in Toro
The Toro winery is the project's most recent and is in Morales de Toro (Zamora).
Next to the winery is the Pagos del Rey Wine Museum, opened in 2014, which displays the many cultural expressions of winegrowing and winemaking from their origins to the present day.
The museum is housed in the former Virgen de las Viñas Cooperative building. Its facilities are preserved almost intact, and the fermentation hall with its original concrete tanks is part of the exhibition.
