Bodegas Paco García is an R&D&I (research, development and innovation) project begun in 2008 by Juan Bautista García.
After more than six years working at the family winery (founded in 2001), Juan Bautista and his wife, Ana Fernández Bengoa, released their first bottle of wine in 2011, the fruit of hard work in the vineyard and of reflection on the decline in wine drinking among younger generations.
"Why don't my friends want to try wine?"
"What do we need to offer them so they understand and enjoy this culture?"
Since then, his sole obsession has been to work hard in the winery and the
vineyard to find the path that would lead him to his goal:
To find a wine that people liked and were drawn to, that let its drinkers enjoy it, that he liked himself, and that would let him make a living from his passion: growing his vines and making his wines.
"What should we be aiming for?"
The idea was clear: they had to do something different, something distinctive. More modern wines, fruity and mouth-filling, with a more eye-catching image and, above all, very appealing to today's young people. In other words, bringing wine to new generations and non-drinkers, while letting those already into wine enjoy it too. With that clear idea: to enjoy the world of wine.
